    Pet esophagoscopy

Does your pet have a swallowing disorder? Does he regurgitate food frequently? Is there blood in the vomit? Take him to Veterinary Hospital Animal Clinic International for an esophagoscopy.

Symptoms on the basis of which an esophagoscopy is performed

Our veterinarians in Los Angeles perform esophagoscopy if your pet has these indications:

    • Bleeding.
    • Heartburn or belching.
    • Inability to swallow.
    • Swallowing of an object.
    • Thermal or chemical burns to the esophagus.

To make the diagnosis, the veterinarian puts the patient under general anesthesia and places a flexible tube equipped with a mini-camera down his esophagus. It transmits the condition of the inside of the esophagus to the monitor.
